Trend Thermal Materials Tianjin were recently visited by representatives from Gerber USA, Gerber Mexico, Milim Shandong and also personnel from the parent company Globe Union, Taiwan.

During a detailed presentation, areas of potential cooperation were explored including options for sanitaryware primary kiln furniture and low mass kiln car solutions.

The visiting party consisted of Mr Marco Govea – Globe Union Mexico (GUMX) General Manager, Mr. Edgar De la O - Globe Union Mexico (GUMX) Casting Manager and Mr. Juan Pablo Monsvais – Globe Union USA (GERBER) Product Manager along with their counterparts from the locally managed Milim company.

A tour of the whole site was concluded and it is hoped that after giving a positive impression, new opportunities can be forged between the two companies.

Globe Union’s acquisition of a manufacturing base in Mexico demonstrates the importance of this fast developing market. Second only to China in the export of sanitaryware yearly since 2006, the country exported a total of 329,000 tonnes of products in 2021. Their visit is also timely for Trend as we are currently in the process of expanding our activities in the area.
