Trend is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the production of thermal shock resistant high temperature materials, focusing on offering thermal solutions for the ceramic industry, brick industry, microcrystalline stone, foam ceramic insulation materials, powder metallurgy, lithium battery & solar energy, magnetic materials, abrasive tools & materials, prospecting analysis, investment casting, food industry, steel industry and other high-temperature fields. The main products include refractory kiln furniture, fast-installation kiln body structure materials, lightweight & low heat storage kiln cars, powder calcined saggars, fire assay crucibles and other thermal shock resistance materials.
Trend was established in Tongzhou District, Beijing in March 1998. It currently has one production base in Baodi District, Tianjin (Tianjin Trend Thermal Materials Co., Ltd), and another one in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province (Zhejiang Trend Thermal Materials Co., Ltd), and a sales reception centre (Beijing Trend Industrial Ceramics Co., Ltd) in Tongzhou District, Beijing. Trend adopts various moulding processes (imported and independently developed) such as semi-dry pressing, roller pressing, high-pressure vacuum extrusion and casting etc, to produce various shapes of high temperature products in cordierite-mullite, corundum-mullite, fused silica, silicon carbide and other composite materials. At present, the production capacity of Trend’s Baodi plant in Tianjin is 26,000 tonnes/year, and the plant in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province can reach 15,000 tonnes/year (after the reconstruction and expansion) – becoming a worldwide manufacturer of kiln furniture & thermal materials in various types and specifications.
Trend management team has strong professional & technical background, and always use "Setting Trend For The Future" as the innovative concept, pays close attention on the development of related application fields, and continuously develops forward-looking products and application technologies. Trend has a special "Kiln Furniture and Thermal Shock Resistant Material Research Centre", which has complete testing and research methods for chemical properties, mechanical properties, high-temperature properties, mineral analysis and microstructures of high temperature materials, the evaluation of thermal shock resistance for materials is especially unique. The research centre supplies customers in new industries with good thermal solutions and special materials.
While focusing on independent research and development, Trend also pays great attention on international cooperation. Trend established the comprehensive strategic partnership with DYSON Group, UK in June 2006. Through technology sharing, cooperative development, unified standards, manufacturing transfer, etc., the British kiln furniture production technology and experience were introduced into Trend. After that, IPS Ceramics Ltd, UK completed the comprehensive buyout of the kiln furniture business of the DYSON Group UK, in December 2009. Its 150-years-old kiln furniture production technology, intellectual property rights, and production research equipment were all owned by IPS & Trend.
In November 2007, Trend signed the technical and business agreement with a German company to build up production lines of H-Cassette and U-Cassette as per German quality standards. Based on its strong research & development capabilities and extensive international cooperation, Trend has greatly improved the quality of Chinese kiln furniture, hence become well-known in the international market.
Trend has gained rich experience in the development, design and production of kiln furniture and thermal shock-resistant materials, and offered numerous thermal solutions for various industries over the last 20 years. Not only serving China market, Trend agents and distributors are all over the major industrial countries and developing countries. Approximately 45% of the total annual output is exported to more than 60 countries and regions in the world. Warehouses are available in the UK, Germany, America and Australia to quickly serve customers in Europe, North America and Australia.
