The parts used as support of props or connection with other kiln furniture are usually small in size, and have very special functions. With the thermal equipment being much larger, the volume of the kiln furniture system is also becoming larger and the structure is becoming more and more complicated. Uniquely designed prop accessories are crucial to ensure the operational stability, load capacity of large kiln furniture systems and to achieve interlocking cement-free connections between various components of the kiln furniture system. Prop accessories are usually made of cordierite-mullite, mullite, corundum, silicon carbide, etc., and are generally formed by semi-dry pressing, casting or plastic moulding.
