13 March 2017 is the 19 years’anniversary of the establishment of Beijing Trend Industrial Ceramics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Trend). In order to meet the increasing demand for kiln furniture in the world, Beijing Trend is building a new plant in Tianjin that can produce various cordierite kiln furniture and special thermal shock resistant materials. Recently, the executives, shareholders and guests attended and witnessed the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new plant.

Mr. Steve Tingay, director of the International Sales Department of Trend, said proudly: "The construction of the new plant represents a substantial investment in Trend. This decision is a major leap forward for our company. The company will enter its 20 years’ anniversary next year, and by then the new production line will also be fully operational. Everything is going well, which is very exciting for us.”

Full-scale construction of the new plant is underway and trial production is expected to begin in October 2018. The plant, which will be named as Tianjin Trend Thermal Materials Co. Ltd., will cover an area of 53,360 square meters (approximately 575,000 square feet), with a planned annual production capacity of 26,000 tonnes.

Mr. Wang Jianzhong, Chairman of the Trend, also said excitedly: "The construction of the Tianjin plant has reached the plan of our founders for more than ten years, and it is also a solid step for us to become stronger and bigger. With the completion of the Tianjin plant and production launch at the new plant, we will be able to provide customers with better products and more timely services, and make Trend steadily move towards the world's leading company in cordierite-mullite kiln furniture production and sales, and we are fully confident in achieving this goal!"

Trend plan to install more modern equipment, including two tunnel kilns, two roller kilns, three high-temperature shuttle kilns and mixing, batching & making systems at the new plant. In order to light the kiln in October 2018, the trial run of the new kiln cars will be carried out in August 2017.

The new plant can not only greatly increase the production capacity of Trend, but also enable Trend to continue to practice the concept of "strive to improve every detail on customer service".
